WARRANTY POLICY

SH Equipment Inc. guarantees its products against manufacturing defects at no charge. The item must have been used and installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations during the warranty period. SH Equipment Inc. warrants its installation work performed on vehicles for the life of the vehicles as long as they are for the same organization. This warranty includes installation parts and labor only.
The warranty period varies according to the product line.  The SH Elite line is guaranteed for a period of five years. The SH line is guaranteed for a period of three years.   For all other brands and models, the warranty will be that of the manufacturer.  In all cases, the warranty is valid for the life of the vehicle, as long as it remains with the same organization. After this warranty period, SH Equipment Inc. is not responsible for the application of the warranty for any product it distributes.  The direct warranty of each manufacturer is then applicable.  Warranties begin when the vehicle or product is delivered to the customer.
POLICY OF USE
SH Equipment Inc. will not be held responsible for direct or indirect damages in the case of misuse, excessive voltage, modification of the product, alteration of the original installation made by SH Equipment Inc. or resulting from improper installation by another organization.  SH Equipment Inc. declines all responsibility for costs incurred in the uninstallation and/or reinstallation of products requiring service and/or repair in these cases. In these situations the warranty is considered null and void.

The warranty becomes null and void as a result of improper use of the product, including but not limited to

  • Use at temperatures or in an environment outside the prescribed standards.
  • Any modification of the item (cutting, welding, improper wiring, etc.)
  • Physical damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Improper installation and/or unqualified personnel (professional installation recommended)
RETURN & EXCHANGE
No returned merchandise will be accepted without our prior authorization. Qualified items may be returned within 30 days of purchase for exchange or refund, in accordance with the manufacturer’s policies, provided the merchandise is unused, in its original, sealed packaging and in good condition. Merchandise must be returned to SH Equipment Inc. prepaid, either for repair or warranty repair/replacement. All returns must be accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. If you wish to return an item, please contact us and we will send you an RMA number as soon as possible.

A minimum restocking fee of 25% will be applied. Some manufacturers have a different return fee policy or have restrictions on returns. SH Equipment Inc. will inform the customer of the applicable fees before proceeding with the return.

Manufacturers’ warranties vary depending on the product. All shipping damage must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of merchandise, or the customer will be responsible for repair or replacement.

In the event that the product is found to be defective:

  1. Contact us to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RAN)
  2. Once you have received your RMA, simply return the item to the address we have provided. Please note that you are responsible for the return shipping costs. We suggest that you insure your shipment and use a carrier that provides a tracking number.
  3. Once we receive your item, we will inspect it to ensure that it qualifies for a warranty exchange. We will then at our discretion either: a) repair the item at no charge. b) send you a new or remanufactured replacement item at no charge.
REPAIRS
Goods returned for repair will be evaluated to determine if we can repair them locally or if they must be returned to the manufacturer. We will notify the purchaser of the repair costs and await approval before performing the repair. The customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges.
DELIVERY TIMES
SH Equipment Inc. declines all responsibility for delays in handling and shipping for the processing of products returned to the manufacturer. Shipping and receiving dates cannot be guaranteed for reasons such as unexpected natural phenomena (floods, earthquakes, etc.), technical problems with the postal service and other factors beyond our control, in other countries or with subcontractors. SH Equipment Inc. will keep you informed so that you can obtain your product as soon as possible.
MAJOR FORCE
SH Equipment Inc. shall not be liable for any loss suffered by the Customer due to strikes, riots, labor disputes, accidents, shortages of fuel or other sources of energy, power failures, fire, flood, war or insurrection, force majeure or any other cause, including a delay in the performance of SH Equipment Inc. s services due to strikes, riots, labor disputes, accidents, shortages of fuel or other sources of energy, power failures, fire, flood, war or insurrection, force majeure or any other cause, and the Customer shall not be entitled to damages or to a reduction of the Contract Price payable under this Agreement. However, in such cases, SH Equipment Inc. shall, without delay, take all reasonable measures within its power to remedy the situation.
INTENTIONAL OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE
Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, the liability of SH Equipment Inc. for damages suffered by the Customer shall not be limited or excluded in the case of intentional fault or gross negligence committed by SH Equipment Inc.
NOTICE ON THE LEGAL GUARANTEE
The law provides a warranty on the goods you buy or rent: they must be fit for their normal purpose for a reasonable period of time.  The Consumer Protection Act provides a warranty on all goods you buy or rent from a merchant. The property must be fit for purpose:
for its normal purpose (section 37 of the Act);
for a reasonable period of time, which may vary depending on the price paid, the terms of the contract and the conditions of use (section 38 of the Act).
